Classics We Should Still Be Playing – Tetris Attack

Final Battle Bowser Tetris Attack was a particular rendition of the puzzle game Panel de pon that was released in the mid 90's. Blocks of various shapes and colors fill your screen and are lifted at a steady speed toward the top. As you get above the 2/3 height mark, the rate of lift increases. Your job is to match 3 or more blocks together by color/shape, causing them to disappear, to crea... more. -
Sony’s PS3 – The Chuck Norris of Gaming
1 CommentsPosted by Iran White on under Iran W, PS3
Chuck Norris jokes kind of faded away several years ago now, but most of us have laughed a time or two at the genre. (When Chuck Norris is in the ocean he doesn't get wet, the ocean gets Chuck Norris. etc. etc.) It's rather silly, and more often than not the jokes go too far as Mr. Norris himself has mentioned. It seems though that Sony's PS3, mostly due to a few die hard, and sometimes irratio... more. -
Interview: The Grinder

In this interview with Matt Corso and Josh VanVeld of High Voltage Software, many a glimpse is given into what to expect, and what the thought processes are so far in the early stages of development of The Grinder. Iran White: Can you tell us about your breakthrough that allows you to put more enemies on screen? Matt Corso: Anyone who's been following The Conduit knows that HVS has wor... more. -
Hit and Miss – Nintendo Style.

At this point, the gaming world knows how well Nintendo's Wii/DS strategy is working across the world. Even though sales have gone down a bit from the incredible pace they'd set over the past few years, they are still doing well. However, now that Nintendo has a hefty Wii/DS install base to work with, the company's near future growth will likely fall short of Stockholder desire, and more an... more. -

Don’t Pirate Modern Warfare 2
1 CommentsPosted by Iran White on October 11, 2009 under Iran W, Wii
Note* Are you still playing CoD4 and CoD: WaW often? Spreading the word about the boycotts through that avenue would be extremely effective, and far more respect worthy than Piracy. With the recent (very understandable) anger with Activision and their CEO Bobby Kotik over the company's seemingly callous and arrogant stance lately toward gamers, and even other companies, gamers are in the process ... more. -
Economic Crisis Paving the Way for Mainstream HD?

Panasonic, the largest maker of plasma HD televisions has announced that they will be cutting 15,000 jobs and closing nearly 30 plants around the world due to the negative iimpact that the current economic crisis is having on sales. Recently Sony announced that as many as 10,000 jobs are being cut, with Samsung and Toshiba cutting more jobs recently as well - the latter also closing several assem... more. -
Why Nintendo is doing all of those things that you hate.
0 CommentsPosted by Iran White on under Iran W, Wii
The Wii is the middle road console. It is as far beyond the "Last gen" consoles as the PS3 and Xbox 360 are beyond it. Where Microsoft went all out to try and capture a large share of the hardcore audience early, and Sony went all out to future proof their console (both successfully mind you), Nintendo saw the largest portion of the market's present, it's relative immediate future (these past two,... more. -
Anti-Activision Petition is “Over 9000!” – But Who cares?
0 CommentsPosted by Iran White on under PS3
Much has been made of Activision's snotty and arrogant attitude toward gamers lately. Even here at HDWarriors. People say they'll pirate, they say they'll boycott, they started a petition. But after the initial anger has blown over there are what? 10000 signatures? Sure it means something to Activision (who isn't commenting) but what it means is nothing good for gamers. Activision, Bobby Ko... more.
