Collectors Scramble for Discontinued Metroid Prime Collection Already
0 CommentsPosted by Iran White on February 1, 2010 under Iran W, Wii
Nintendo recently cancelled their atypical Collector's edition, Metroid Prime Trilogy, which is comprised of all three Metroid Prime games, with the first two reconfigured for Wii resolution and Wii remote controls. It has been reported that this edition sold just less than 500,000 copies. But with fewer and fewer retail outlets having the game available, the quality of the collectors edition ... more. -
Capcom’s Recent Wii Comments a Bit Out of Line
3 CommentsPosted by Iran White on January 6, 2010 under Iran W, Wii
With what can only be described as poor sales so far for their new Wii game, Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, Capcom has apparently grown a bit frustrated with their attempts to target Wii owners properly. In an interview with Gamekult.com, Capcom France President Antoine Seux had this to say: '...This year the Wii was very difficult with an oversupply of new games, and a gamer market that has ... more. -
Hit and Miss – Nintendo Style.

At this point, the gaming world knows how well Nintendo's Wii/DS strategy is working across the world. Even though sales have gone down a bit from the incredible pace they'd set over the past few years, they are still doing well. However, now that Nintendo has a hefty Wii/DS install base to work with, the company's near future growth will likely fall short of Stockholder desire, and more an... more. -
Don’t Pirate Modern Warfare 2

Note* Are you still playing CoD4 and CoD: WaW often? Spreading the word about the boycotts through that avenue would be extremely effective, and far more respect worthy than Piracy. With the recent (very understandable) anger with Activision and their CEO Bobby Kotik over the company's seemingly callous and arrogant stance lately toward gamers, and even other companies, gamers are in the process ... more. -
Classics We Should Still Be Playing – Tetris Attack

Final Battle Bowser Tetris Attack was a particular rendition of the puzzle game Panel de pon that was released in the mid 90's. Blocks of various shapes and colors fill your screen and are lifted at a steady speed toward the top. As you get above the 2/3 height mark, the rate of lift increases. Your job is to match 3 or more blocks together by color/shape, causing them to disappear, to crea... more. -
Why Nintendo is doing all of those things that you hate.

The Wii is the middle road console. It is as far beyond the "Last gen" consoles as the PS3 and Xbox 360 are beyond it. Where Microsoft went all out to try and capture a large share of the hardcore audience early, and Sony went all out to future proof their console (both successfully mind you), Nintendo saw the largest portion of the market's present, it's relative immediate future (these past two,... more. -
Interview: The Grinder

In this interview with Matt Corso and Josh VanVeld of High Voltage Software, many a glimpse is given into what to expect, and what the thought processes are so far in the early stages of development of The Grinder. Iran White: Can you tell us about your breakthrough that allows you to put more enemies on screen? Matt Corso: Anyone who's been following The Conduit knows that HVS has wor... more. -
MMO’s: Past, Present, and hopefully Nintendo’s future

The Past: Over 10 years ago in 1997 (Around the same time that I discovered Pokemon) I came across a game called Valhalla at Valhalla.com. Valhalla is a MUD (Multi-User-Dimension) game where you can create characters, interact with a huge world and other players, do hundreds of quests, and find thousands of different pieces of armor and weapons to upgrade your characters. You begin your journey s... more. -
F… You, We’ve Already got your Money..

Nintendo has gotten into the habit; regarding the Wii, of saying things (either through word or action) that are so far from the truth it's become insulting. It's gotten to the point that many Wii owners just don't want to hear it anymore. PR is PR, and business is business, but either you do it honestly and respectfully, or you damage your relationship with your customers. We all love Nintendo, b... more. -
Tales of Symphonia 2 – Mediocrity Never Tasted So Good
0 CommentsPosted by Iran White on under Iran W, Wii
When the original Tales of Symphonia came out 5 years ago I hadn't yet played a Tales game. I was a Final Fantasy and Square Enix RPG fan through and through. Of course I still love Final Fantasy and Square Enix. So much so in fact, that I recently purchased a PS3 in order to ensure that I get the full unhampered experience of FFXIII next year. But having my RPG base in the FF, Chrono Trigg... more.
