  • Getting Off the Windows Bandwagon 0 CommentsPosted by phat monkey killer on April 3, 2009 under PC
Microsoft Windows is everywhere, let’s face it. It dominates the market place as the Operating System (OS) of choice for corporations that use it throughout the workplace, as well as home users that get it pre-installed on their machines - and rightfully so. It scales very well from being a non-tech savvy OS to a work machine capable of integrating into corporate networks and running a lot of a... more.

Welcome to 2004. Bush is still in office. Halo 2 and this Xbox live thing sounds like it may take off and who can take this game console named Wii seriously? There's also this little game company called Valve. They had a good game, sure. Half Life was fun and all, but I mean everyone can create one good game, just look at The Sims. Ziff Davis sold 1UP to the UGO network and also closed the popular print magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM). With the sale of 1UP, the site won't be lost. They will still be printing articles and trying to keep up with all the video games industry's news. But there will be no more podcasts or pretty much everything and everyone associated with them.
